  • What's the Complete Deluxe service?

    The Complete Deluxe package is a premium interior and exterior detail. In addition it includes a clay bar decontamination, machine applied sealant, shampoo and extraction for seats/carpets/mats, leather cleaning and conditioning, and light stain removal.

    The Complete Deluxe service also makes you eligible to sign up for our maintenance program!

  • What does the "extra dirty" add-on service mean?

    Extra dirty in the interior of the car means excessive pet hair removal, deep staining, and/or excessive trash removal that requires us to take extra time to give our proper level of service. This is charged per hour extra we take on your interior. Quotes are available if you reach out to us about your needs.

  • Why is there a difference in price depending on vehicle size?

    Vehicles that are larger in size require us to take more time and effort to provide the level of service needed. A larger amount of detailing product is also used for bigger vehicles.

  • Why bother getting a car detail?

    Getting your car detailed gives your vehicle exterior and interior more longevity. Automated car washes create swirls and minor scratches on your paint that can be taken out with a clay bar and paint enhancement. The wax or sealant applied gives your paint’s clear coat more protection against the elements and prevents fading and damage.

    Interior cleanings help prevent dirt and dust buildup that can create allergies or odors. We get the hard to reach places and less frequently cleaned areas as well.

  • Why apply a ceramic coat to my vehicle?

    A ceramic coat is for car enthusiasts who want one of the highest levels of protection on their vehicle. A ceramic coat has a tedious prep and application process, but its hydrophobic properties and protection can last years.

    It also makes vehicle maintenance easier and will get dirty less frequently.

  • How often should I get my car detailed?

    It depends on many factors such as where your car is parked overnight, how old the car is, and how rough you are on your vehicle. Send us an email or call and we can give a consultation to help fulfill your needs.

  • Do you service anywhere outside the South Bay?

    Yes, we do!

    General rule of thumb is if it’s a 30 minute drive for us then the service needs to be at least $300. If the service is 60 minutes away, the service needs to be at least $600 etc. This can be measured from our starting locations in Redondo Beach and Torrance.

    We treat each inquiry on a case by case basis. Please reach out with your approximate location or zip code and we’ll see if we’ll be able to service that area.

  • Does Makai Detailers offer any maintenance programs?

    Maintenance programs are available to anyone who has booked and received a Complete Detail or above. Please inquire for more information.

  • Do You Have Travel Fees and/or Service Minimums?

    We do not have travel fees, but we do have a general service minimum based on distance. General rule of thumb is if it’s a 30 minute drive for us then the service needs to be at least $300.
